By far, our true strength lies in the character of our people. Since our start on the railroads of Columbus and Eagle Lake in 1979, to our modern facilities today in Sealy, the same key employees have contributed tirelessly to our development.

As a result of the knowledge and experience we’ve gained in these 30+ years in business, we are able to provide the highest-value service to our customers with a considerable source of pride.

The man responsible for our humble beginning was Lemuel Louis Leach Jr., who spent most of his working life with Humble Oil and Exxon. In 1973, Mr. Leach Jr. formed our sister Company, Three L., Inc., in Houston, Texas.

In 1979, he branched out into the rural area of Colorado County and formed Colorado County Oil Company Inc. in Columbus, Texas. Lemuel L. Leach Jr. eventually passed his legacy down to his two sons Lemuel L. Leach III and Andrew S. Leach, who split the company into two separate entities: Three L Inc. (now 3L Energy Solutions) and Colorado County Oil.

CCO was primarily a Texaco-branded jobbership through the 1980s. In 1989 the company took on the old Diamond Shamrock brand, to diversify fuel offerings, and had also acquired Chevron and Mystik lubricants. Steady growth followed through the decade of the 1990s as we ventured into the C-Store operations.

As our business grew, we added additional bulk plant facilities, a permanent one in Sealy, Texas, as well as a modern fleet of service vehicles. During the next decade, we enlarged our facilities in Columbus and Sealy and have successfully grown through acquisitions as well.

As of 2023, we are now serving Texas, New Mexico, and Louisiana as a best-in-class fuel logistics provider. And we have plans to expand our reach. Check out our News page for more information!
